Financial Credit Union in Pasadena, CA won first-place awards not only in the Dora Maxwell awards but also the Louise Herring for Philosophy in Action awards. Both will now compete in the national credit union recognition programs. |

| LEGISLATURE PASSES DATA BREACH BILL |

| California consumers scored a significant legislative victory with the August 31 passage of Assembly Bill (AB) 1656, landmark legislation that aims to protect consumer debit and credit card information from hackers and identity thieves. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has until September 30 to act on the legislation. |

Educational Employees won in the asset category of $250 million and above, while Sonoma County Grange won in the less than $35 million asset category. |
